Our life now....

Have you ever had friends that you have met along the way and watched their lives unfold, they marry, have kids and thru the years you lose track? I had so many friends that reached out to me after Perry got killed, some I met and some I haven't. I used to have a facebook account but I retired it about three years ago :-P, after that I lost track of peoples lives and people lost track of mine. Being a young widow makes people watch you, people wonder where your life will go, and if you will ever re-marry, there is nothing wrong with that although it is hard to be the widow that people are watching!


Dathan and I have been married now for almost three years, and I can say that there is no one that I could have married that would have been a better husband, step-dad, friend, in-law, christian leader of our home than Dathan has. Dathan loves Tanner unconditionally and treats him just like he were his own flesh and blood, he always has Tanner's best interest in mind! Dathan has been more than a husband to me, he is my best friend, a shoulder to cry on, a spiritual teacher, a rock I can lean on! He has let me cry on his shoulder because I was grieving and hurting, marrying a widow is not a walk in the park, and it takes someone very special to do it.

My "Warren In-laws" love Dathan very much and think he is a wonderful guy, we have a great relationship with them. Them watching me get married again was not easy, but they are very happy for me and Tanner, and they are so thankful that we found such a great guy!

Tanner!

Tanner is back in school now! The summer went by way to fast! He started back on August the 6th. I can't hardly believe that this is his 5th year at Lowes Elementary! He is learning so well, we are so excited! He is doing great on his reading and spelling words. He still hates to hold a pencil so he hates to write! He is also doing great on his math facts! Watching him learn is so exciting, every new thing he does is a huge milestone for us! Tanner is such a joy to Me and Dathan, life is so exciting with him! He is really starting to talk, and we love that! You never know what he is going to say!

Looking back.......

I love to look back at old pictures, it helps me realize how far Tanner has come! It also brings with it so many memories...... I wish so much that Reagan could have lived, Tanner gets so lonely and I know that those two little boys would have been best buds! I know they would have always understood each other! I do understand that God knew best and it was His will, I don't want to question Him, but it still does not take away the hurt. Tanner loves other children and babies, he will so often find him someone he likes and get them by the hand and beg to take them home with him, he will stare at babies and babies pictures, I have wondered so many times what he is thinking......does he remember? Someone was talking to me about it the other day and mentioned Tanner and Reagan being reunited again, I'm sure they will have lots of fun!! I am so glad God made a Heaven! It is going to be so perfect there with no more tears, sorrow or grief! Even tho I feel sadness often, I am still so very thankful that things are so well with us! The good things by far outweigh the bad! I am so thankful that Tanner is doing so great, what a blessing!! I am blessed!!

This 7x7 Elk was hanging out at our Hotel eating grass, this was one of the highlights of the trip to me! I loved getting that close to a wild Elk!

Summer!

We are having a great Summer vacation! I can already tell tho that School will be starting up again before I know it! I love for Tanner to be at home with me, we have so much fun! I wish we was born with all the knowledge we needed, so there wasn't such a thing as School! :-)
So far we haven't been anywhere, but we plan to leave on the 28th of this month to head to the West Coast, we are looking so forward to the trip! We plan to take Tanner to the San Diego Zoo, and many other place's, but I am really looking forward to that part of the trip!
Tanner is really growing up and changing in many areas. He is getting really independent, and he does some really funny things, I love it!!
I plan to take lots of pics on our vacation so I will post them as soon as I can!
